Gouden-Handreibrug, Torenbrug & Augustijnenbrug
Three bridges for the price of one! A splendid discovery trail that starts at the Gouden-Handreibrug. Keep a look-out here for the hand holding an eel - a reference in stone to the legend that tells of a demonic golden hand and an unfortunate eel fisherman. Carry on to the 14th century Torenbrug, where a lantern stands right on the bridge. At the end of your bridge trail is the Augustijnenbrug, one of the city’s oldest. And you can rest awhile on its 14th century stone benches, once medieval shop displays. Strolling from one bridge to the next, you link these picturesque views one to another.
