Tuinwijk (Garden suburb)

Albrecht Rodenbachstraat and Hugo Verrieststraat enchant every passer-by. These moving cobbled streets are filled with a succession of stepped gables and other facades, each with its own little front garden neatly bordered by a low hedge or a wrought-iron fence. Pure nostalgia, or the air of an English garden suburb. But it’s never busy; both streets are always perfectly peaceful.
