Oud Waterhuis (Old Water House)
The Old Water House, built on the city ramparts, guaranteed water supplies to the medieval city and even then was regarded as one of the wonders of Bruges. An extensive underground network of lead pipes carried the water to public wells throughout the city. If the building looks somehow familiar, you might have recognised it from the The White Queen, a historical BBC TV series which used this location as a secluded hunting lodge.
