Muntplein (Mint Square)
The Mint Square lies in the shadow of the popular shopping street. A well-hidden spot for young and not-so-young alike. With shady benches, the striking statue Flandria Nostra and a remarkable example of contemporary architecture in the house designed by Robbrecht & Daem, the architects who previously gave the city its Concert Hall. Today this square is above all the place of choice for many sweet-toothed ice cream lovers, enjoying ices from the two famous ice cream parlours around the corner at their leisure.
