Heilige Magdalenakerk | Madeleine in Brugge (St Magdalene’s Church)
Free Religious sites Art and architecture Indoor Outdoor

St Magdalene’s Church (Madeleine in Brugge) is one of the earliest neo-Gothic churches in continental Europe. In this extraordinary mid-19th-century church, you can explore contemporary forms of meaning and spirituality. Madeleine in Brugge aims to be a little piece of Heaven on Earth, where everyone is welcome and can experience "a little piece of heaven". Madeleine in Brugge is also a veritable 'experience church', with a 17-metre swing, cosy coffee bar, interactive installations and quirky art. Every summer from July through September, the church also puts on a new summer project, so the look of the church changes regularly. Let yourself be astonished by Madeleine in Brugge or visit the church with an audio guide.
