Eleonora Verbekehof (Eleonora Verbeke Square)

Don’t miss the Eleonora Verbeke Square on the Old Saint John site. Named after the nun who ran the Saint John’s Hospital pharmacy in the mid-18th century and recorded all kinds of medicinal recipes. From here you'll be served a view of some of Bruges' top attractions: the medieval St. John's Hospital and the towers of the Church of Our Lady and St. Saviour's Cathedral. The herb beds dotted here and there are a nod to the former hospital pharmacy, whose entrance is on this square. A spot surrounded by history where you can imagine yourself back in time.
