De man die vuur geeft (The man who gives a light)
Free Art and architecture Contemporary Outdoor

The pilot flame of poetry is burning in the House ‘Gezelle’'s intimate garden. In the form of a statue, that is. The bronze creation by the hand of Jan Fabre is literally blinking in her golden patina. The stocky figure, with bare feet, is taking shelter against the rising wind beneath its stuffed collar. Its lighter, with a lit flame, is held at the ready. On a separate marble base beside it, a pair of shoes with undone laces is on display.
