Begijnhofbrug (Beguinage Bridge)

For centuries the Beguinage Bridge has led into another, mysterious world. A silent, sacred place that is closed by night. A host of beguines have preceded you over this picturesque bridge and they too will surely have enjoyed the sight of the swans swimming by. And perhaps, before they closed the gate behind them, they glanced back a little. You can still admire that image of the past today, as the boats pass by beneath you.
