Achiel van Ackerplein (Achiel van Acker Square)

The Ezelstraat, one of the most important roads leading from a city gate, is a street just waiting to be explored. From little boutiques to a mansion decked with flowers, with the cheerful Achiel van Acker Square about halfway along, named for a popular burgomaster (or mayor) of Bruges. The 17th century Teresian   church, now a concert hall, rises behind you. A perfect place to rest on a bench midway through your exploration.
