House Gezelle garden
Even if you’re not very fond of poetry, you’ll be delighted by the House Gezelle, the birthplace of Guido Gezelle (1830 – 1899), one of Flanders’ most famous poets. For here, close by the city ramparts, there’s a magnificent walled garden waiting, which you can visit without a museum ticket. With an ancient Corsican pine tree and ‘The man who inspires others’ , a work of art by Jan Fabre. Picnic or simply relax, you can do both.
