Mu.ZEE houses an outstanding collection of modern and contemporary art by Belgian artists or artists who live and work in Belgium: from Sammy Baloji, Lili Dujourie and James Ensor to Otobong Nkanga, Léon Spilliaert and Luc Tuymans. This makes the museum unique in Flanders. The permanent collection often changes in composition, but the Ensor and Spilliaert museum wing, and the Raoul Servais wing, are always accessible. Here you can explore the rich works of the Ostend masters James Ensor and Léon Spilliaert, and the animator and director Raoul Servais. Mu.ZEE actively follows the international art scene through its exhibition programme with links to the collection policy. Every year Mu.ZEE also organises three ENTER platforms which give young artists the chance to exhibit in a museum.
