App | The First World War in the City
The reminders of the First World War in Bruges are not only to be found in archives and museums. A new app will lead you to the 'Hof van Aurora' (Aurora's Court) where thirteen spies and resistance fighters were executed, the Balsemboomstraat where many bombs fell, the Karthuizerinnenstraat and the memorial to those who died in the war. The app will also take you to the cafés where the soldiers went to try to forget the war, to the house of the spy Anna de Beir and to the city store in the Cordoeaniersstraat.
